Our monthly “storyteller” giving community is the backbone of our work. When you choose to make a monthly gift, at any amount, you officially join our team and come alongside our social workers, psychologists, and all the boots on the ground to fight for vulnerable children and families. The best part is this commitment is a two way street. When you partner with us in this way, we commit to equipping, educating, and empowering YOU. That means we send you thoughtfully designed educational resources every quarter to give you the tools you need to not just be a donor but a true advocate.

Build Our Team

“Can I sponsor a child through Story?” We get this question a lot. We could give a long-winded answer about why we do not run child sponsorship programs (and if you’d love hear that long answer, please reach out to us), but in short, we believe that model is outdated and does not align with best practices (think things like dignity/privacy of the child, sustainability, etc.) As such, we just steer clear of it entirely. As an alternative way to directly support someone in Guatemala, we encourage you to sponsor one of our dedicated, trained, totally all-in staff members that make this whole thing go around. We employ anywhere between 20-30 Guatemalans at a time and pride ourselves in not only impacting our target population but offering life-giving employment opportunities within the community where we work. Your monthly staff sponsorship helps up provide competitive wages and recruit the best of the best to serve our kids and families.
