Steve grew up in Georgia and attended Young Harris College and the University of Georgia, where he received his undergraduate degree. Steve’s graduate training was at Asbury Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky. He worked at the Wesley Foundation (Methodist college ministry) at UGA for 11 years, and then moved to Nebraska to work at a college ministry there. He spent 5 years in Orlando, Florida as the Director of the Wesley Foundation at the University of Central Florida. In 2008, he and his wife moved to metro Atlanta to plant Vintage 242 Church (www.vintage242.com). Vintage 242 was launched in August 2009, and he currently serves as Lead Pastor. Steve sits on the board of No Hungry Children Inc., Sons and Daughters mission sending agency in India, Transformation Network, Inc. and Wesleyan Fellowship Partners, Inc. Steve coaches softball, loves Georgia football, and dreams of being a professional bass fisherman.
