While studying at Georgetown University, Stephanie’s two biggest passions were running and volunteering for non-profits. After her foot was run over by a car in Italy, she decided to make the best of her situation and combine her two loves: it turns out running non-profits proved to be more rewarding than running the streets of DC. Shortly after graduating in 2008, Stephanie started a volunteer-run non-profit organization which brought clean water and sanitation to communities in developing countries. In the last 5 years she has been involved with four start-up non-profit entities. To aid her in this work, she recently completed a Masters in Nonprofit Leadership. Besides volunteering, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her friends and family in New Jersey. She absolutely loves children, and is thrilled to have the opportunity to contribute to More Than Compassion and help to improve the lives of the children at Fundacion Salvacion.
