The summer internship program was created for two purposes: to offer hands-on experience in the mission field to young adults exploring different career paths; and to maximize the impact of our programs during the busiest months of the year.
Story International is seeking three qualified interns to assist in our work on the ground in Guatemala. This internship program will last approximately 10 weeks, giving interns the chance to really dive into our work here, utilize their existing skills and learn new ones. Interning with us for the summer is a great opportunity for both current college students and recent graduates interested in working abroad with a non-profit organization. Our organization will also offer interns the opportunity to receive academic credit, but students must apply for internship credit from their respective universities.
Interns will be expected to work full time, Monday thru Friday. Depending on the position, work will consist of a variety of tasks, working in both a team and individual setting. Interns will be provided with dedicated staff member who will provide them with needed resources and weekly assignments.
Specific intern responsibilities will vary depending on the skill-set, gifts and interests of program applicants. To get an idea of the kind of work our interns engage in, you can see the description of past positions below.
